Tech Systems Review
Tech Systems Review
Project details
What we need
- An assessment of Organization's IT infrastructure including costs, speed, reliability and security
- Advice on various IT services and the cost-benefit associated with each option
- Potentially more efficient and secure services
- Note: This does not include tech systems set up or implementation
Additional details
We are a NY based non-profit (although currently working virtually) with local offices in 5 other countries. So, we would like to assess our IT infrastructure in all of our offices.
What we have in place
- The ILF uses GMail, GoogleDrive, DropBox, Spanning Backup, FileMaker and other programs for document storage. We have about 200 users. Our offices are in Afghanistan, the West Bank, Tunisia, Myanmar and Nepal and vary in size. We do have some strong IT staff in those offices who can provide a deep technical dive.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,001 , allowing us to represent indigent clients around the world.
Our mission is to train public defenders in emerging nations. While we have focused on building the skills of local lawyers, we have not focused as much on the infrastructure to support the work across programs. An assessment of our IT systems and needs would allow us to determine how we can have a more unified system across country programs so that we have consistency for our teams.

Our mission
The ILF was founded to address the global crisis in access to justice. Every day, millions of men, women, and children are held in jails around the world because they cannot afford a lawyer to defend them. Many face torture and abuse, languish behind bars for years awaiting trial, or are wrongfully convicted.
We make justice a reality by fighting to guarantee high-quality legal representation for everyone arrested or detained. Around the world, we provide criminal defense services and build sustainable, effective legal aid institutions.
