What we need
  • Up to 3 customized and professionally designed graphic(s)

The Caribbean Genealogy Library needs graphics for use on facebook, celebrating Family History Month (which is October).

What we have in place
  • We currently have our logo, a visual brand guide, we are pretty flexible on creatives representing family and researching family history but can also share some related graphics that we like. Plus we have an event on family history so one of the graphics would be for the event.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to continue adding more resources to the library's collection.

Marketing the library and its events is important to creating stronger awareness in the community. This project helps us to achieve this goal.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where graphics will be posted, ideas for copy, and images to include in the graphics (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the graphic, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of graphics or memes they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts three graphics using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of graphic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Graphic Delivered
  • Professional delivers final version of the graphics and explains how to upload image(s) to the Organization’s chosen platform(s)

To identify, preserve, and provide access to Caribbean genealogy, history, and cultural heritage information resources for the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean, and to promote and encourage their use for family history documentation, education, and scholarship.

What we do

Caribbean Genealogy Library is a leading resource for family history research in the Virgin Islands and in the Caribbean. We provide services through the library's collection of books and historic records, workshops, lectures and a resource-rich website; allowing researchers of all levels to explore their past.
