What we need
  • Review of current board policies and procedures
  • Document outlining best practices for meetings and communication, including cadence and tool recommendations

Looking for assistance with reviewing existing bylaws

What we have in place
  • We currently have a small volunteer team available, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have existing bylaws, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,610 , allowing us to reinvest in the ministry

We have gone through a transition in leadership and need to have our bylaws updated to reflect the change. This will also provide a clear direction for planning.

Prep: Provide Current Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with the board’s current governance practices, policies and procedures, as well as a list of current board members
  • Volunteer Manager identifies which board members or other staff are available for interviews (if required)

Milestone 1: Research
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session
  • Professional reviews any issues arising from current policies and procedures

Milestone 2: Evaluation
  • Professional conducts surveys and interviews with key stakeholders
  • Professional reviews relevant materials regarding the board’s performance, policies, and procedures
  • Professional drafts the board’s organizational guidelines
  • Organization provides feedback to Professional’s documents

  • Professional delivers board organizational guidelines outlining recommendations for more effective operations
