Board Organizational Guidelines
Project details
What we need
- Review of current board policies and procedures
- Document outlining best practices for meetings and communication, including cadence and tool recommendations
Additional details
Completion of a high level board audit to identify gaps in our current roles and procedures. Development of onboarding procedures and ongoing training.
What we have in place
- We currently have organizational bylaws, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a governance review committee, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,295 , allowing us to continue to expand our organization and grow our impact.
Lori's Hands has received funding to expand our work locally in Delaware and through the creation of new chapters, first in Baltimore, MD and next in Ypsilanti, MI. This project will help us ensure that we have the necessary oversight of our operations to effectively and successfully expand our impact.
Project plan
Our mission
Lori's Hands builds mutually beneficial partnerships between community members with chronic illness and college students, fostering empathy, connection, and resilience. Students provide practical assistance to support community members' independence at home, and community members share their health and life experiences to support students' learning.
Testimonials
Jon was extremely thorough and insightful. He took a lot of time with us to walk through many aspects of our nonprofit's governance. With his years of experience, he brought to our attention topics and ideas we hadn't thought of previously and gave us great guidance. He was a pleasure to work with!
A terrific and well-run organization doing important work. I enjoyed my time working with Maggie and highly recommend Lori's Hands to any prospective volunteer.
