What we'd like to talk about

I'd like strategic advice on what to expect for comparative revenue for a virtual awards gala in 2021 in DC. We need to plan our FY21 budget & are unsure how to estimate or pitch to potential sponsors

Additional context

We usually have our big annual fundraiser in May that attracts around 300 people and raises more than $250K. While we can skirt through 2020 without the event, it will cause a major hole in our 2021 budget if we can't accurately estimate our revenue for next year. If we decide to hold a virtual gala instead in 2021, how do we plan appropriately to maximize sponsorships? We'd like to talk with someone who has been involved in virtual events for 2020 already and can talk about what is a reasonable estimate for income - is it 50% less? 25 percent less? How are businesses making decisions about what types of virtual events to still support?

"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

Our mission

The Council for Court Excellence (CCE) works to improve the administration of justice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and ensure civil and criminal justice systems that equitably serve the people of our community. We accomplish these goals by conducting research, identifying and promoting justice system reforms, convening important stakeholders to advance change, and increasing public understanding and support of our justice system.

What we do

As a catalyst for change for almost 40 years, CCE has led a wide variety of research, advocacy, and educational projects to improve the local justice system. We are able to make an outsized impact because of the unique approach to our work, bringing together diverse groups of stakeholders to identify gaps in performance, determining and outlining solutions, and ensuring that these ideas become a reality. Some of our projects strengthen laws and policies, building better justice for all. Some shine a light on systemic problems or possibilities for innovation. We encourage individuals to understand the justice system and empower them to improve it.

CCE's projects are overseen by four standing program committees: Civil Justice, Criminal Justice, Youth Justice, Justice Education
