Project details

What we need
  • Setup of selected accounting software (e.g. Aplos, Araize)
  • Training and guidelines on how to manage system and generate basic reports
Additional details

In years past, we were using the traditional Quickbooks but recently shifted to the online version. It doesn't seem as user friendly and we need help trying to make sense of it all. Ultimately, we would like to get our Quickbooks Online up and running.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Quickbooks Online, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have time to commit to the project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,409 , allowing us to keep accurate account of our finances so that we stay in good graces with our funders.

We just finished our new board member orientation and we were embarrassed that we didn't already have our online system set-up prior to the meeting. Your support will help get us back up and running, as we need support learning the software.

Prep: Information Sharing
  • Volunteer Manager shares detailed description of existing financial record keeping and financial reporting system
  • Professional makes recommendations on accounting system reports to address the Organization's needs
  • Note: If necessary, Volunteer Manager may have Volunteer sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to sharing and discussing Organization’s financial information

Milestone 1: Implementation
  • Professional conducts financial data migration
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager check accuracy of migration
  • Professional sets up account admin privileges for Organization’s designated admin users

Milestone 2: Training & Handover
  • Professional provides basic training for Volunteer Manager and supporting staff for tracking and reporting needs including guidelines for continued use of system
  • Professional reviews above guidelines and tips with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional is available for up to two weeks to address questions as Volunteer Manager starts to adopt new bookkeeping system
