Project details

What we need
  • Tightly-written web copy of up to to eight pages of 200-300 words each
  • The opportunity to work closely with an experienced, SEO literate copywriter
Additional details

We are in the midst of a website redesign and are looking for someone to help us with website copywriting. We have a sitemap created, along with wireframes for key pages. We are looking to improve our SEO and make sure our website copy is compelling and engaging to inspire supporters.

What we have in place
  • We currently have website goals, a sitemap, and audience personas, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have started working on SEO to identify key words, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,048 , allowing us to recover and donate 60,730 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for people experiencing food insecurity.

Our website is the first way many people learn about Food Forward. It's crucial that we can educate folks on our work and keep them engaged so they become volunteers, donors, or supporters.

Our mission

Food Forward fights hunger and prevents food waste by rescuing fresh surplus produce, connecting this abundance with people in need and inspiring others to do the same.

What we do

We collect fresh fruits and vegetables that would normally go to waste from backyard fruit trees, public orchards, farmers markets, and the downtown Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. 100% of the produce we recover is donated to hunger relief agencies across 8 counties in Southern California.

Testimonials

Farida was wonderful to work with! We were looking for a website copywriter who was obviously a great writer and was also able to distill our messaging in a compelling way while keeping an eye on inclusive language. Farida delivered on all of these areas! She was very detail-oriented from our first call and was open to feedback and suggestions. She delivered all of our pages on time and was super easy to work with during the entire process. Redesigning a website is a huge project and having someone like Farida involved makes a project of this magnitude much easier to take on.
