Workplace Culture Assessment
Workplace Culture Assessment
Project details
What we need
- A detailed, unbiased audit of the Organization's culture including current strengths and areas of improvement
- Actionable steps to promote team happiness and productivity
Additional details
Cultivating Community seeks a third-party evaluator to interview staff and board members as part of an assessment of the organization's recent transition to a three person co-leadership model. This evaluation is meant to confirm or refute the initially identified pros and cons of this structure and seek ways to improve the structure and address any underlying weaknesses. The principle research method is expected to be 1-1 or small group interviews.
What we have in place
- An active Next Steps Committee with engaged staff and board members, plus a professional facilitator
Adopted organizational values document
Identified skills and characteristics of leadership
Draft of interview questions
How this will help
This project will save us $10,298 , allowing us to support our new immigrant farmer training programs, community gardens, and food justice initiatives.
Cultivating Community is at an important crossroads. The organization's founding director resigned unexpectedly in 2019, without a succession plan. Since 1/20, a three-person Interim Directors Team has performed well but the board must decide whether to adopt this innovative co-leadership structure or revert to a more conventional ED model. The external evaluation will provide important feedback for how to adjust the model and ensure its sustainability.
Project plan
Our mission
Growing sustainable communities by: expanding access to healthy, local food; empowering children, youth, and adults to play diverse roles in restoring their local, sustainable food systems; modeling, teaching, and advocating for ecological food production.
