Project details
What we need
- Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
- Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details
We need someone who is able to translate our English membership sign up page into Korean.
What we have in place
- We currently have a basic language guide, our past Korean Newsletters, Korean version of our website, and other translated materials, and an editor who will be doing a final edit of your work. The English webpage is already completed and ready for translation.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to continue to create quality and up-to-date Korean and Vietnamese translations of our COVID-19 Resource guides in a timely manner.
Since we want to create sustainable social change led by the most impacted in our communities, we want to make sure everyone can take part in our work. By creating materials that are more accessible to first-generation immigrants and those with limited English proficiency, we are able to create a more accessible, and therefore inclusive movement.

What we do
Hamkae Center organizes Asian Americans in Virginia to achieve social, economic, and racial justice. Through community organizing, public policy advocacy, civic engagement, and youth leadership development, Hamkae Center works to build a future in which low- and middle-income, immigrant, people of color, and marginalized communities can fully participate in U.S. society and work together as makers of lasting change. We are the Virginia affiliate of the NAKASEC Network. Other members include HANA Center (Illinois), Woori Center (Pennsylvania), MinKwon Center for Community Action (New York), and Woori Juntos (Texas).
