Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

The Stop Abuse Campaign is a national nonprofit with nine state chapters. Currently, our state chapters are volunteer-led. For a small nonprofit, we have a fair amount of traffic going to our website and committed people engaged in our social media. However, we lack the ability to retain and constantly engage those interested in our organization. We need a membership model that will allow the states to recruit and develop local donors while providing a home, and a purpose for the unaffiliated.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a little over 400,000 opt-in emails from our online campaign efforts, over 42,000 social media followers and since January the website had over 32,000 new page views, which should make it easy for you to get started.

Our social media reach at times is impressive. Our Texas facebook had 2 chapter posts that have reached 378.5k & 239.1k in 2019 when the page has less than 350 followers.

We also have some analytics that we can share and the ability to provide more information
How this will help
This project will save us $8,908 , allowing us to With the money saved by using a volunteer for this project, we will be able to invest another $3k plus in programs to prevent childhood trauma like abuse and neglect.

We need more chapters. Stop Abuse Campaign's legislative initiatives require grassroots support. Membership will allow us to develop a committed team committed to the same goals and using the same messaging multiplying the value of our grassroots support. We want help cultivating a successful model that will help us convert our current followers into active members and build a strong retention program.

Our mission

We prevent childhood trauma and heal those affected by it.

What we do

The Stop Abuse Campaign prevents Adverse Childhood Experiences (Childhood trauma) through public policy and public education.

We choose specific, actionable campaigns that resonate with the public and help protect children from trauma like abuse and neglect. Our well-read blog educates about child abuse, domestic violence, trauma prevention, and recovery. We work with over 300,000 supporters engaging them in our campaigns to prevent abuse.

Fortunately, a lot is known about protecting children from trauma. And preventing trauma is what we do at the Stop Abuse Campaign.

Testimonials

Iwona is smart, patient, and very good at fleshing out our ideas and goals. I very much enjoyed working with Iwona and hope to do so again. Iwona took the time to get to know us and the organization. We are all very happy with the outcome and Iwona's work.

Membership Strategy Project

Loved working with my Coordinator, the entire team and the project itself was very interesting. I was especially excited about working with the team who makes a stand for literally every victim of abuse, everyone has been so passionate and self - motivated and this made my work truly special and easy.
