Training Plan Development
Training Plan Development
Project details
What we need
- Training goals for a specific population (volunteers, staff, program participants, etc.)
- Advice on what training methods the Organization should pursue to meet its goals (webinars, lectures, print materials, etc.)
- Suggestions for curriculum design, creative messaging, call to actions, methods and timeline
- Budget for implementation (taking the Organization’s resource constraints into consideration)
- A written document that summarizes objectives, strategies and actions steps
What we have in place
- This training will be specific to the volunteers in our Hunger Resource Center. We currently do not have an official training and are doing a lot of on the clock training and would really like something with consistent messaging for all of the volunteers. The pro is being able to build something from scratch. The con is having to build from scratch.
We do know have ideas surrounding items that must be included such as:
importance of their roles, expectations, etc.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,000 , allowing us to deepen the impact of the over 550 families we serve each month in our Hunger Resource Center.
Having a formalized training will assist in our volunteer retention efforts. Clear expectations and knowledge of how volunteers fit into the success of our mission are shown to improve length of service among volunteers and also encourages word of mouth support from volunteers.

Testimonials
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Andaleep! She was a wealth of information and was able to take my vision and bring it to life. There is absolutely no way I could have completed this project without her. She was professional and warm at the same time, making it easy to form a productive partnership. Our volunteer program is strengthened because what we were able to accomplish.
It was great working with NVFS and the Hunger Resource Centre. Navara was clear in what she was looking for and we were able to collaborate well to develop a great training program to onboard new volunteers.
