What we need
- A press kit compiling: Your organization's backgrounder (an “about us" page), at least one press release about the event, logo(s) and other visual assets, contact and background information for key staff member(s) at the organization, other relevant press coverage
- Recommendation(s) for how to share the event in the media
- Note: This project does not encompass the writing of materials or creation of visual assets
What we have in place
- We currently have One pager, mission statements, board documents, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have information on the program we are launching, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,852 , allowing us to the funds saved will go back directly to the program to purchase evacuation slings and plane disability harnesses - we can provide approx 80 slings & harnesses to the WC community
Currently, there is no safe way for people with disabilities to travel who have limited mobility. They rely on bringing straps from home to secure their upper body into an airplane seat. During transfers, many people are injured. But worst of all - there is no Safe procedure to evacuate someone during an emergency. While our organization works to improve accessible air travel for the future we want to provide equipment to wheelchair users today so they can ensure they can fly safe today.
