Project details

What we need
  • A Salesforce database including: a customized set of Salesforce objects, single-record editing of data and field history tracking (up to 15 object types), a customized set of views to allow table-based editing of data (up to 15 views), a customized set of reports to pull data from multiple object types (up to 15 reports)
  • Migration of Organization's current database to Salesforce
  • Training for designated staff member on new objects, reports and views
  • “Hand-off” documentation on the object schemas and any custom code
Additional details

A Salesforce volunteer system, likely built on Volunteers for Salesforce.

We need:
a) a campaign type "workshop": (5-14 days, many volunteers, many jobs, many shifts, complex recurrence).
b) SF tools to configure jobs/schedule for a workshop (too complex for V4S)
c) A web interface for volunteers to see jobs/sign up. The V4S job calendar is NOT ideal.

Ideally: advice on API-mediated SF synchronization with our 'contacts' table in an external database (we have a promising prototype).

What we have in place
  • We currently have Key tech savvy staff/volunteers committed to project, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Limited but rapidly growing expertise in SF use/admin/dev, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $18,832 , allowing us to provide more insulating window inserts to low-income households, a critical need a region with old housing stock, a high percentage of senior citizens, and cold weather.

Salesforce will bring data on volunteers, customers, donors, and grantors that is currently stored on multiple platforms, spreadsheets, email accounts, and in people's heads and consolidate the data in one integrated and cross-referenced location. This will enhance our ability to engage supporters at every level: turning customers into volunteers, volunteers into donors, and donors into volunteers. Improved data collection will enhance grant applications, bringing more funding to extend our work

Our mission

WindowDressers brings volunteers together to improve the warmth and comfort of homes, lower heating costs, and reduce CO2 emissions by producing low-cost insulating window inserts that function as interior-mounted storm windows.

What we do

Our staff supplies, trains, and supports teams of community volunteers as they build affordable, reusable insulating window inserts at local workshops.

Testimonials

In the long run, this project was a big help to us. It evolved slowly, in part due to COVID disruptions, my insistence on understandings details as they evolved, and time constraints at Cloudalyze. Vishal Kash is very knowledgeable and educated me in some key fundamentals in Salesforce, such as use of Custom Apps.
