What we need
  • Ongoing web development support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: website maintenance, updates or improvements
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.

Hello. Our Wordpress site needs a bit of review and maintenance. I'm seeking support in the following areas:
-Adjustments to page templates
-Review of current CMS
-Clean-up/creation of reference materials to educate new site users.

What we have in place
  • I'm happy to use Trello or some other project tracker that you're comfortable with. We used Trello for the last project.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,757 , allowing us to continue providing services to single mothers and their families that will give them tools toward better lives.

This project will allow the organization to use the website in a more efficient manner to support its fundraising efforts.

  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Step 1: Ongoing Support
  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

Step 2: Training & Offboarding
  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks

To improve the socio-economic status of impoverished individuals by delivering workforce development training, coaching and employment opportunities.

What we do

Committed to social change, urban university is a non-profit organization that delivers workforce training, coaching and retention solutions in partnership with individuals, community based organizations and the business sector.

We seek to inspire and empower today's workforce by providing:
- Soft skills training and coaching to adults
- A safety net of support for single working mothers
- Leadership development training and coaching for front-line supervisors

Our workforce development programs have a common purpose, to create a participatory workforce through the development of its' most important asset - people. To reach these goals, we offer on-site internship and job opportunities through our two secondhand stores, Urban Furniture and Urban Boutique, where we provide career and personal development training.
