Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details

We are looking for a narrative to send to supporters asking for donations. Of course COVID-19 has impacted our nonprofit, which should be mentioned, but we don't want to sound desperate, rather uplifting & inspiration. This copy would be used in various media formats (newspaper, radio, email, etc). Thank you!

What we have in place
  • We will be able to provide you with videos and testimonials to help you understand who we are and the impact we have on our community.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to focus on the arrangements to (hopefully) host a fundraising event in the fall while keeping our services up and running, supporting the clients in our community now.

Due to COVID-19, our largest fundraiser had to be postponed. This fundraiser raised the majority of our dollars to support our services through the spring, summer and into the fall. In order to continue to give the level of support to our clients, we must find these dollars another way.

What we do

We provide support for urgent non-medical needs while people are fighting cancer such as financial aid for rent, mortgage, taxes, car repair, utility bills etc. We also provide transportation to treatment, support groups, private counseling, caregiver support, wellness classes, wigs, prosthesis, adult briefs, food supplements and much more. All of our services are free. Our annual budget is 700k+, we are a small staff of 5 but have 150 local volunteers to help us assist our 500+ clients.

Testimonials

Jame was super easy to work with! He did a great job learning about us as an organization and using it towards the project. Gave us exactly what we were looking for.
