What we need
  • Designs for one piece of marketing or communications collateral (e.g., fact sheet, case study, event invitations)
  • Templates with accurate, print-ready specifications
  • Note: Please post an additional project if more than one piece of collateral is needed

We have a one-pager about one of our organization's major projects, and we need a graphic designer's help in making it presentable. Right now, we have all the information laid out in Microsoft Word, and we would love to have this information in a handout format that's accessible to various demographics for tabling and events where we talk about our projects. We would also like to have a final deliverable in a format that's easy for us to update and edit the language.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a draft one-pager on Microsoft Word with all the language, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have logos, images, and design files, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to focus our time and energy on communicating climate science and clean energy.

Our microgrid project is one of our main efforts as an organization and something that we get a lot of questions about from everyone from community members to tech experts. One of our goals has been to have an all-encompassing, comprehensive, and accessible one-pager that we could use at events and meetings to help people understand our microgrid project and answer some common questions, but we don't have the graphic design skills in-house to achieve this goal.

  • Volunteer Manager provides the Professional with a budget for print materials, finalized copy, high-resolution logo and any visual branding guidelines to be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager also provides images for desired deliverables (if applicable), examples of existing marketing materials and links to online presence (website and social media)
  • Volunteer Manager shares brand messaging guidelines (if applicable)

Milestone 1: Preliminary Concepts
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss how print materials will be utilized, target audience, and style preferences
  • Professional develops preliminary sketches, and garners feedback from Volunteer Manager

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional drafts print materials, and incorporates any feedback into final product

  • Professional delivers final versions in desired electronic format
  • Professional provides guidance on printing specifications (colors, size, etc.)

Our mission

We are a woman-run nonprofit that works to make climate science and clean energy understandable and actionable for everyone!

What we do

We partner with grassroots orgs in environmental justice communities to design clean energy accessbility projects. This is mostly in the form of microgrids, but we have some others too! Right now we have active projects in Chelsea, MA, Cambridge, MA, and Boston's Chinatown in MA.
