Project details

What we need
  • Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
  • Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details

Nimbus Dance seeks to create a new website that aligns with the organization's growth and upcoming move into the Nimbus Arts Center at the Lively. The move not only represents an expansion in terms of programming: new concert series, more visual arts exhibitions, increased public events, greater capacity for educational programs; but also, the center creates a greatly enhanced overall profile for the organization. We seek to align our online profile with the expanded profile of our organization.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an actively updated website with comprehensive descriptive language for programming. We have great images to complement the content. All accounts for external sites that we work with (ticketing, class registration, etc.) are active and we have all necessary links.
Nimbus staff are ready to assist with the project with any questions and clarifications needed to guide site map and user experience.
How this will help
This project will save us $20,842 , allowing us to focus our limited resources on paying our artists, staff, and keeping the cost of our programs within reach for low income community members.

As a state leader in the arts and programming for underserved communities, Nimbus' site must represent the quality of our organization and facilitate access to information on program offerings. At the new arts center, there will be a large expansion of programming; it is crucial that we communicate this clearly through the website.
With very little means, Nimbus has dramatically impacted the Jersey City community and beyond. The new website will allow us to continue to excel as an arts leader.

Testimonials

We are absolutely blown away by our experience with Julian and the new website that he engineered with a designer, also connected through Catchafire. As an arts organization with a a wide range of program areas, we needed a website that could be easily navigated, patched with various external software (patron management, fundraising, ticketing, class registration, video, etc.), and all the while display an aesthetic elegance. Julian was extremely committed to this complex project, working on deadline, and grasping the complexity of what the website needed to accomplish. In spite of a time difference as Julian is based in UK, he made himself available for both email and in-person zoom/phone calls. In short, we are extremely pleased with our new website and very grateful for Julian's exceptional work and effort on this project.

Website Construction (CMS-Based) Project

It has been a pleasure to work with Nimbus Dance Works - more specifically with company manager Anitra, web designer Christine and the founder Sam. The work to develop a Wordpress theme was really engaging and enjoyable and everyone was great to work with and very professional. I only hope that we continue to work together in future as I provide support.
