Facilitated Strategy Session
Facilitated Strategy Session
Project details
What we need
- Expert third party advice on process or managerial changes, geographic or programmatic expansion, potential pivots, or general strategic planning
- Facilitation of an intensive, one-day strategic planning session with staff and/or Board
- Note: If necessary, a follow-up strategic planning session may be scheduled
Additional details
I'd like strategic & conflict resolution/mediation tips on protecting Director & agency funds from 3 of 9 board members who are making mgmt decisions without full vote and incomplete/inaccurate information.
It started with disagreements over hiring/firing decisions by the Director which has led to micromanagement of daily operations and bullying by several strong Board members. There have been no directives or written warnings, however these decisions are blocking staff from doing their job.
What we have in place
- We currently have full written details of issues, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have background/historical details in writing, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,465 , allowing us to effectively manage the millions of dollars & influx of support from national agencies & service providers by agreeing on a strategic plan we can all get behind and move forward as a unified team.
Current communication between board, director & staff is broken. After the hurricanes of 2017 (2 Cat 5 direct hits) our agency experienced rapid expansion of staff and funding. Prior to the storms, we had Board Governance issues with Director taking on roles/responsibilities that should have been handled by Board members - now there are several board members taking on roles & responsibilities of the director and causing severe conflict among staff members. We are stuck and our mission is stalled
