Online Research
Project details
What we need
- A compilation of research on a specific topic (e.g. industry best practices, literature review, media contacts, industry trends, etc.) including a list of sources
- Recommendations on areas for further exploration/research
- Note: This project is not designed to be used for prospect or grant research
Additional details
SELT needs to learn more about Peer to Peer (P2P) fundraising for our annual TrailFest event in September.
We're looking to understand current best practices, and different strategies for P2P fundraising. Are there 5 case studies of P2P campaigns that have high fundraising numbers that are not driven by personal challenge or tragedy? If so we would love to see them and learn more about prize structures, messaging, and platforms used.
What we have in place
- We currently have access to Chronicle of Philanthropy, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have results from our 2018 and 2019 TrailFest events, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to conserve more acres and create more trails!
In 2018 we switched from a formal auction event to an outdoor trail race and festival event to reach our target demographic and stay true to who we are as an organization. We have two years of SELT TrailFest under our belt, and while the event has been successful in attendance and sponsorship, we would like to increase the money raised through Peer to Peer fundraising. The money raised at TrailFest goes toward our operating budget which is what keeps us in business!
Project plan
Our mission
The Southeast Land Trust of NH is a member-supported nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect and sustain the significant lands in our communities for clean water, fresh food, outdoor recreation, healthy forests, and wildlife.
Since 1980, SELT has served 52 communities of southeastern New Hampshire to conserve more than 20,000 acres of land through conservation agreements and ownership.
Testimonials
Brooke was proactive, organized, thoughtful, and efficient. She was easy to communicate with - even through this pandemic, it never felt as though this project fell off Brooke's radar. It was a true pleasure working with you, Brooke! Thank you!
Zoe and SELTNH were incredibly flexible and supportive. The project had a fairly open timeline and communication became key to our success, especially during the COVID outbreak. I would absolutely work with SELT again!
