Project details

What we need
  • A set of success metrics for the Organization's program such as key performance indicators and secondary performance indicators
  • Guidelines on how to measure success metrics, how often to measure them, and how to present metrics to internal and external stakeholders
Additional details

Our agency mission "works in partnership with people living in risk of violence for safer homes and streets" becomes difficult to translate into data across the agency. Our cliente is very different (ex: individuals, non-profits, government agencies) and we need support in telling stories on 1) how these are related (safe homes & safe streets) and 2) the positive impact of ALSO, specifically in those areas. We also need the issues of violence prevention framed contextually.

What we have in place
  • We currently have www.also-chicago.org, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have http://bit.ly/33zj6lV (white paper), and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,240 , allowing us to complete this project, with these resources. Most of our funded programs are either Safe Homes or Safe Streets related. ALSO's intentional work around becoming less siloed is greatly underfunded.

Having qualitative and quantitative ways to gather information related to the niche area of our mission and vision will allow us to increase our internal understanding of our work along with sharing more specifics externally, related to the impact of our work. It will also help us frame the issue of violence and violence within marginalized groups, contextually.

Our mission

ALSO works in partnership with people living in risk of violence to promote safer streets and homes.

ALSO's Vision: Safe Homes, Safe Streets

What we do

Established in 1998, the Alliance of Local Service Organizations (ALSO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. We recognize that violence in homes and streets can be connected, and we work to end both. Our mission is to work in partnership with people living in risk of violence to promote safer streets and homes. Our vision is: Safe Homes, Safe Streets. Locally, ALSO works directly with residents of predominately Puerto Rican and African-American neighborhoods in Chicago's northwest side through its Safe Streets outreach intervention program, re-entry and youth employment services. In addition, through training, consultation and resource-sharing, ALSO works with governmental and nongovernmental agencies throughout the 56 U.S. States and Territories to build their capacity to address domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
