Carnaval San Francisco is a Two-day Festival and Grand Parade that takes part in the Mission District during Memorial Day Weekend. We have a map for the Festival and Parade that we need help sprucing up.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a festival and parade map, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a festival and parade map, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to focus our attention directly to the people we serve at Carnaval.

Carnaval has an outdated-looking parade map and a non user-friendly festival map. We would like to update both so that they are both more appealing and user friendly.
This will help our organization a lot.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where graphics will be posted, ideas for copy, and images to include in the graphics (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the graphic, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of graphics or memes they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts three graphics using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of graphic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to three rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Graphic Delivered and Training
  • Professional delivers final version of the graphic and explains how to upload image(s) to the Organization’s chosen platform(s)
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager how to create and customize graphics

We accomplish our mission through dance, music, the visual arts and by creating spaces for community learning, school-based education, and advocacy.
