Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

BACKBONES would like to start a Monthly Giving Program to ensure a reliable source of income for our nonprofit.

What we have in place
  • Although we currently don't have a membership program we have several monthly and annual donors and an online fundraising platform with recurring donation options. We also have a database of donors for the past 10 years and any additional information you may need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to allocate our resources in programs such as our online peer groups and Leadership program for people with spinal cord injury and disabilities.

A Monthly Giving Plan will help our organization have a reliable source of income and the project is something our Board Members can spearhead and implement in 2020.

Our mission

BACKBONES exists to help people with spinal cord injury or disease (SCI/D) and their families connect with their communities. We do that by creating events and experiences that promote awareness and engage people of all abilities.es.

What we do

Whether someone has just been injured or it’s been years, it feels great to connect with someone who’s been there. Share ideas on trying a new sport, employment, tips on parenting, college experiences, or accessible travel destinations…

BACKBONES helps bridge that connection by finding and pairing people with similar spinal cord injuries (SCI), backgrounds, experiences, and hobbies.

Through BACKBONES’ Connections even if you are the only person in your town or city with a SCI, you’re part of something bigger… an entire group of people connected by common experiences!
