Project details

What we need
  • An expert evaluation of the Organization’s website compared against usability best practices in order to assess an optimal user-friendly and intuitive layout.
  • Note: This project does not include feedback on website content - only usability
What we have in place
  • We currently have a website and 2 staff members with access to the admin side of the site. We are planning on undertaking a larger project to create a new website next year and have done some thinking about what may need to change and what information our web visitors need. We hope that this project will help us to understand what of our current site architecture should carry over to the new site and what should change.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,680 , allowing us to put our resources towards new and ongoing educational programs that use helicopters as a gateway into broader science, technology, engineering, and math-oriented topics.

The Museum needs to better connect with its audiences and communities, providing the information they want and need where and when they need it. We know that our current website is not doing that as well as it could and want to do better with our next website. This project will give us a roadmap for designing a site that meets current standards for usability and our audiences' needs.

Testimonials

Jessica's work was incredibly helpful to my plans for improving my organization's current website and working towards creating a new one. She communicated well and punctually, really worked to understand my organization's goals and needs, and was enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with us. The report she produced was useful and the call we had to discuss it inspired me to move forward.

Website Usability Audit Project

It was an absolute pleasure working with Allison and the American helicopter museum and education center! Their programs focus heavily on science education for kids, which is a mission I can get behind. Allison was always responsive and happy to give me access to whatever information or resources I needed to complete the job. All in all this was a very rewarding experience, and I would love to work with them again in the future.
