Washington Improv Theater seeks a design to promote our upcoming show The Feminine Experience. Inspired by The Vagina Monologues, the show features truthful monologues from female-identified and non-binary performers. We seek a suite of web images to promote the show. We have many photos from last year. Due to the nature of the show, we prefer the designer be fem or non-binary.

What we have in place
  • We currently have photos and examples of previous visuals, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have branding guidelines, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to contribute all of our revenue to House of Ruth, a domestic violence shelter that this show benefits.

This project has gained momentum over the past few years and is beloved by our community. It connects with audience members in a very direct way and opens up very personal topics for moments of catharsis for both the artist and audience.

  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where graphics will be posted, ideas for copy, and images to include in the graphics (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the graphic, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of graphics or memes they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts three graphics using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of graphic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to three rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Graphic Delivered and Training
  • Professional delivers final version of the graphic and explains how to upload image(s) to the Organization’s chosen platform(s)
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager how to create and customize graphics
