What we need
  • A 4-week content calendar for one social media platform, including graphics & copy (12-20 posts, or as agreed upon by both parties)
  • A content calendar template that can be used to plan out posts in the future
Additional details

Our staff in Uganda are eager to learn how to do this and set up stories to share with our key stakeholders! We have impact stories from the field, but not a systematic way to share them or have them be consistent across platforms.

What we have in place
  • We currently have stories, photos, social media accounts, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff based in US and Uganda, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to use the money directly in the field to work with rural Ugandan organizations.

This will allow us to be consistent and systematic in sharing stories from our Uganda partners. We are also hoping that it will increase our online presence and bring more people to our website and social media platforms.

Prep: Audit & Planning
  • Volunteer Manager shares social media credentials and existing marketing materials with Professional
  • (If applicable) Professional audits existing social media account to determine which content types are performing best
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss & agree upon target audiences, content types, and posting frequency

Milestone 1: Calendar Structure Creation
  • Professional uses Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, or comparable software to set up content calendar structure
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback, which Professional incorporates

Milestone 2: Content Creation
  • Volunteer Manager shares raw materials (photos, quotes, stories, etc) that Professional needs to create content
  • Professional creates up to 4 weeks’ worth of social media posts (approximately 12-20 posts) and inputs into calendar
  • Volunteer Manager reviews and provides feedback, which Professional incorporates

(Optional) Milestone 3: Content Scheduling / Software Setup
  • Professional connects Organization’s social media account to a scheduling software like Buffer or Hootsuite
  • Professional sets up and schedules up to 4 weeks of posts in scheduling software
