Project details

What we need
  • Updates to Organization’s existing website (e.g., adding new copy and/or images, customizing styles/themes, basic layout revising, etc.)
  • Training for Organization staff on how to make minor updates going forward (if applicable)
Additional details

I'm writing from the International Pole and Line Foundation (IPNLF). We support small-scale fisheries who catch tuna one-by-one using a fishing pole or handline. We help them improve their operations, so they have better market access. We are also a membership organisation consisting of commercial buyers and other supply chain stakeholders. We're looking for someone to help us refresh the look and feel of our website and incorporate a privacy and cookies statement based on GDPR. www.ipnlf.org

What we have in place
  • We currently have a well-functioning and easy to use website using Perch, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a GDPR package with various templates, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,666 , allowing us to empower small-scale fisheries by helping them to improve their operations and build their knowledge. They will be better equipped to defend their natural resources at international negotiations.

This will help us attract new members. We are also looking to attract and educate consumers so they could better understand the impact of their purchasing decisions on the environment, ocean wildlife, and the social and economic welfare of small-scale fishers and their families.

Our mission

The International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF) works to develop, support and promote socially and environmentally responsible pole-and-line and handline tuna fisheries around the world. IPNLF's ambition is to contribute to thriving coastal fisheries, including the people, communities, businesses and seas connected with them. We are an international charity working across science, policy and the seafood sector. We use the influence of the market to develop and demonstrate the value of one-by-one caught tuna to thriving coastal fisheries, and the people and seas they connect..
