Project details

What we need
  • Review of up to 20 pages of copy for grammar, style, tone, and consistency
  • Advice on how to write effective copy going forward
Additional details

Cross check our responses with the guidelines posted by our State contractor to ensure we thoroughly answered each question.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a Google doc that is 95% complete, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an electronic copy of guidelines issued by our contractor, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to provide financial assistance to more homeless families so that they may obtain permanent housing.

We have not had to recontract our services for homeless families in about 12 years. Our State contractor has changed several requirements for providers, with some room from creativity in meeting requirements. This is a very competitive recontracting process. The contract represents 2/3 of our organization's budget, so our proposal needs to stand out!

Our mission

We are a nonprofit human services organization located downtown Lynn, MA. Our mission is to revitalize our community by investing in its people and places. We support families and young people through housing, access to employment, education and financial empowerment. In addition, Centerboard is invested in Lynn's creative economy by spearheading public art projects and running the non-profit gallery Visionspace.

What we do

We house homeless families until they find permanent housing. In addition we house youth who can not live at home or who are young parents. Our Family Resource Center works with youth and families who are involved in or on the brink on involvement with the juvenile justice system. We also provide mentor services and outreach to young adults who are being sexually exploited.
