How this will help
This project will save us $2,155 , allowing us to be more creative with our collateral in terms of printing, increase our mailing costs and reach more individuals, save more for the artists and theater companies who call us home!

This project is for our annual year end campaign and as a nonprofit we rely on the gifts of the generous individuals who give to us and other non profits year to year. Our mission

Z Space empowers artistic risk, collaboration, and camaraderie amongst artists and audience in the service of commissioning, developing, and producing new work.

What we do

Z Space is a multifaceted arts venue, led by a woman and a trans man, that serves a diverse array of artists and audiences. Operating two venues, a 83-seat black box and a 244-seat main stage, Z Space fills an essential role in the Bay Area's arts ecology and continues to raise its profile and partnerships both regionally and nationally.

Annually, we reach approximately 21,000 audience members, 700 youth and children through Youth Arts (the vast majority are low-income, English Language Learners), and approximately 50 small and mid-size arts organizations through our curated rental and co-production program.

Some of our performing partners over the past few years have been: Youth Speaks (underserved racial communities), Sean Dorsey Dance (queer and trans communities), Fresh Meat Festival (queer and trans communities), 3 Girls Theatre (women), AXIS Dance (people with disabilities), Disability Dance Works (people with disabilities), and Chitresh Das (Asian communities). We serve these communities because we believe it is essential for the arts ecosystem to reflect the diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area. Unlike other theaters that operate on a fixed season and a singular artistic vision, Z Space thrives to embrace a multitude of artistic voices through a variety of programs and partnerships. We meet the needs of our communities by providing free and subsidized space, hosting open "salons" to have conversations about the issues facing the artistic community, and ensuring that all of our venues and facilities are welcoming and accessible.

Testimonials

Patricia was incredibly responsive and absolutely timely with her work. In fact, she often needed to nudge me to make sure we stayed on top of deadlines. We had a great phone call to start in which she offered great suggestions and ideas in the initial planning stages.
