What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details

We are creating 10-15 short three part comic strips about consent for our health education curriculum. Each comic will only be three frames long, so I don't think this is going to be a large project. We have the dialogue/general concepts, we just need someone to translate them into small short comics.

What we have in place
  • We currently have dialogue and concepts for comics, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have examples of other comics we are using to provide an example, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to to purchase supplies for our onsite clinic and keep operations running

Waikiki Health Youth Outreach is a drop in center and outreach program for homeless youth in Hawaii. Many of our youth lack supportive adults in their lives to help them navigate challenging conversations, like consent. Many rely on the drop in center to get education and support that they need. Our Health Education department strives to have an interactive curriculum that promotes a safe space for healthy discussion and these comics will help us start that conversation around consent.

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form
