Project details

What we need
  • Visual branding guidelines / style guide that include specific colors, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials for the event
  • High-resolution logo delivered electronically (in formats applicable for digital and print use)
Additional details

TUGG is throwing New England's (and maybe the world's) largest week of service this October. We are in need of an awesome logo and look/feel for t-shirts, signage, web, etc...

What we have in place
  • We currently have a few different concepts, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have previous examples of branding, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to better serve the youth of Boston.

Tech Gives Back is our largest event of the year. This is a huge step forward for Boston companies looking to be more philanthropic.

Project plan

P
Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with current logo (if available), Organization branding guidelines and any existing marketing/communications materials
  • Volunteer Manager sends Professional examples of preferred event branding ideas (e.g., logos, themes, etc.)
1
Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss goals of event, targeted audience, preferred design elements, and any other relevant information
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree upon a visual identity concept for the event and detailed scope for the deliverables (e.g., logo, custom graphics, updated style guide, etc.)
2
Milestone 2: Logo Design
  • Professional drafts up to three different event logo designs and shares with the Volunteer Manager for feedback
  • Volunteer Manager selects one of the options and provides feedback
  • Professional iterates upon the design for final delivery, including versions of the logo for different uses (e.g., black & white, full color, and formats for print and digital use)
  • Professional delivers the final version of the logo including specifications for usage (colors, size, etc.)
3
Milestone 3: Visual Branding Guidelines / Style Guide
  • Professional drafts visual branding guidelines, which features logo and specific set of colors, fonts, and any custom graphic elements to be incorporated in event communications and collateral material
  • Volunteer Manager reviews the draft guidelines and provides feedback
  • Professional incorporates feedback and prepares final version
  • Note: If custom graphics are included in the agreed-upon scope of work, the Professional provides them in high-resolution formats for digital and print use

Our mission

TUGG, which stands for Technology Underwriting Greater Good, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Cambridge whose mission is to identify and fund early-stage, high impact nonprofits; once in the TUGG portfolio, we then connect these nonprofits directly with Boston tech companies. Ultimately, we want to create value for our two biggest stakeholders: our nonprofits and our volunteer network comprised of tech employees. We are the tech workers investing in Boston's future.
