Project details

What we need
  • Well written copy for an email series (3-5 emails), or significant edits to an existing campaign
Additional details

We are gearing up for a fundraising campaign this August and need help creating a series of fundraising emails. This campaign is a one-time ask to help a program meet a particular service goal. The program is serving a vulnerable immigrant population that is sensitive about media, so we need to figure out how to bring the human element of the client stories in without using photos or names. It is also related to legal status, so the copy will need to explain a complex process concisely.

What we have in place
  • We have the exact number of children that we are trying to serve, along with program success metrics from the previous iteration of the program. We have hand-written stories of clients that we could use to bring out the human element of the fundraising ask. We have fundraising goals and specific asks as well.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to put more time and money into talking directly with potential donors rather than sweating over email copy!

This project is important because it would directly help kids fleeing violence in Central America. Specifically this project will benefit our Central American Minors program, which allowed select children into the U.S. as refugees. This program was closed under Trump in 2017 and reopened in May 2019 via a lawsuit for a limited group of kids. If we can raise the funds, 62 kids will be reunited with family in the U.S. and finally have a safe place to live.
