Project details
What we need
- Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
- Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details
We are looking for a volunteer to translate our garden job descriptions used for splitting up tasks between our community gardeners.
There is quite a bit of technical garden based jargon used.
Translation needed from English to Spanish
What we have in place
- We currently have The completed document in English, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a conversational Spanish speaking employee to confer with, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to look at expanding our resources for other languages that are dominant in our Salt Lake Community.
Our organization is making strides in updating both the documents used and the resources available in our community gardens to be more open and accessible to members of our community that are Spanish speaking. As a community organization we want the people using our services to reflect the diversity that is in our neighborhoods.
Project plan
Our mission
To empower people of all ages and incomes to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food.
What we do
Wasatch Community Gardens has served Wasatch Front residents since 1989 with the belief that the quality of a community is directly related to the quality of its food. We offer garden space, educational programs, and community events to empower people to grow, harvest, preserve, and prepare fresh, healthy food. We execute our mission through five main programs: Community Garden Program, Youth Garden Program, School Garden Program, Community Education Program, and the GREEN TEAM Farm
