What we need
  • A dashboard in Excel or Google Sheets that visualizes key performance indicators (KPIs), with data from up to 3 sources
  • Training on how to consistently update the dashboard for ongoing use
  • Optional: Training on how to edit dashboard and execute on formulas and functions that will allow for its evolution
Additional details

We have an excel dashboard we use for development purposes but it is password protected and the creator is unable to be reached. We can't edit some of the sheets but not all. We would like it if someone could create a new sheet using the same formulas in our current password protected sheet but as a Google Sheet instead.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a password protected sheet that we can use as a guide, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have all of the content that needs editing., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,828 , allowing us to send more money on impacting the lives of our clients, especially our youth clients.

This project will allow members of our development department to have an accurate tool to use for forecasting our fundraising progress.

  • Volunteer Manager gives overview of the current data the organization has available, the desired KPIs they would like to track and the dashboard audience
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss what is feasible for the dashboard given the current state of the organization’s data
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager outline next steps and timeline for the project
  • Volunteer Manager shares the necessary raw data files with the Professional

Milestone 1: Dashboard Creation & Feedback
  • Professional creates a draft of the dashboard based on initial conversation with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional shares the dashboard with the Volunteer Manager and explains how the dashboard depicts the desired KPIs
  • Volunteer Manager provides any feedback on the dashboard (up to two rounds)
  • Professional implements feedback and provides a revised dashboard

Milestone 2: Training
  • Professional creates guidelines for continued maintenance and update of the dashboard
  • Professional reviews the guidelines with Volunteer Manager
  • Professional is available for up to four weeks to address questions and troubleshoot as Volunteer Manager starts to regularly use the dashboard

Milestone 3 (Optional): Additional Advanced Training
  • Professional trains the Volunteer Manager on the key formulas, tables and charts that are used to create the dashboard, and how to make edits to them if needs evolve
  • Professional directs the Volunteer Manager to further relevant resources or an Excel Training project
