Marketing Strategy Call
Call details
What we'd like to talk about
We would like to brainstorm ideas for putting a fresher spin on our message at our annual fundraiser in October. This is our ninth year of an ongoing trail restoration project.
Additional context
How do we keep folks interested in supporting routine maintenance work on the trail? How do we give a fresher look to our actual BBQ fundraising event, including display materials at each table? How can we attract a younger (middle age) group of participants?
"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.
Our mission
We create and maintain healthy habitat along the Green Bay Trail
by removing invasive species and planting natives.
What we do
We have been removing buckthorn, garlic mustard and other invasives for 7 years, replacing them with native plants ranging from oaks to wildflowers. Stretching 9 miles from Wilmette to Highland Park, the Green Bay Trail is popular with cyclists, walkers, and nature lovers and provides access to Ravinia, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and Writer's Theater.
Testimonials
We cannot say enough about our Marketing Strategy conference call with M. This was our first experience with Catchafire. We could not have been more satisfied with his advice and counsel. The Friends of the Green Bay Trail sought Catchafire’s assistance with developing a marketing strategy to expand its volunteer and donor base. Our conference call with M. could not have been more successful. Our conversation was informative, specifically focused on realistic short term and long-term action plans and inspiring. M’s background, experience working with and advising similar trail restoration nonprofits was invaluable. He quickly evaluated our current marketing efforts, provided general marketing guidance and then suggested specific immediate steps to implement short and long-term strategies to work on, recognizing solutions take time. We concluded our call energized and with a plan that will address our immediate needs as well as a foundation for future planning. Many thanks!
Friends of The Green Bay Trail are performing a critical service to the community, 1000s of trail users and the environment. Becky and Meradeth were prepared for the prodject and facilitated its successful conclusion. I encourage other volunteers to support this organization.
