The organization is very image-heavy in it's vision and mission - we aim to give visibility to marginalized urban women and to show them as strong, beautiful, smart and environmentally savvy. We want to show their diversity and inspire leadership and community. We've received a lot of positive feedback on the graphic design of the site, but I'm not sure if the design is transferable to other media. I'd like to clarify and simplify the brand image.
The Homesteadista is a social impact non-profit. We are re-imagining leadership ecosystems within the environmental justice movement, to include historically marginalized women and girls. We use communication technologies to tap into an already rich pool of talent and ingenuity to proactively nurture progressive partnerships from and within their often disenfranchized community. Through fresh media platforms and networks, we unite current changemakers with aspiring ones, beneficiaries, and supportive allies.
