Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details
We need our website updated with our 2019 campaigns.
I have the copy for each campaign, but would love a call first so we could figure out the best mode of conveying out work because I think we could benefit from an easier-to-access info and action steps home page.
I built the original in Squarespace, and I don't want to touch it and risk messing it up links and such if I want to use another template.... maybe you can help and have some great idears?

What we have in place
- We currently have a working website so you can see what we are about., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have copy, photos, graphics for all updates. Web design exp., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to put our very scarce financial resources in action on the front lines of fossil fuels -- where we can build community/political power rather than behind the computer (which we love doing too! :o)
We need a freshener on our website for our 2019 campaigns so our members, fans and others get hop into ACTION
Project plan
Our mission
Sane Energy Project is dedicated to a vision of a 100% renewable energy New York City and New York State. For that vision to become a reality, we need strong grassroots momentum that calls for a rethinking of our energy system from the bottom up – replacing the current drive to build shale gas infrastructure with a drive to build renewable infrastructure.
We work to build that momentum in three main areas: Awareness, Attitudes and ACTION!
I'd like to develop a plan/program for a way to deeply engage and organize our volunteer members to lead on campaigns, and build a fun system of accountability.
What we do
We have 2 main areas of programming with campaigns under them:
1. stop fracking infrastructure
2. build renewable energy with an eye toward low-moderate income inclusion.
We use a lot of art for outreach/education tools, and also engage in direct action and policy work.
