Volunteer Recruitment Plan
Volunteer Recruitment Plan
Project details
What we need
- 3-5 one hour strategy sessions covering topics like potential volunteer market, timeline, strategies for outreach and recommendations for implementation (potential risks, possible management tools, etc.)
- A written summary of goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
- A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing your strategy.
What we have in place
- We currently have many committed volunteers and contacts in the community, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have networks of support in the Atlanta community and a Facebook page with over 4100 follows, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,866 , allowing us to continue to offer low-cost programs to our families and provide scholarships for our families who have financial hardships. It also allows us to expand our program offerings and areas that we serve.
The success of our organization depends on committed volunteers who work with a variety of programs. Without your help, we cannot offer the best possible program to our families. Your skills will empower us to recruit those who will continue to volunteer for many years.

Our mission
At FOCUS, our mission is to embrace and equip families of children with disabilities to make everyday life better.
What we do
Forty years ago, Atlanta parents of children with multiple disabilities had no place to turn for reassurance and support. Two families formed Families of Children under Stress, Inc., a nonprofit that provided support groups and hospital visits. After 35 years of growth and two mergers, the organization, now known as FOCUS, provides a host of critical resources for 4,500 families including community support groups, hospital visits, parent training, accessible camps and activities, and medical equipment.
