How this will help
This project will save us $5,140 , allowing us to afford planting materials for more reforestation and educational materials for the students we serve.
This project will help us engage the local community in our programs mission to educate and perpetuate Hualalai Mountain`s natural and cultural resources, which includes diverse forests, watershed and endangered endemic species. In order to maintain a sustainable community outreach program and a successful reforestation effort we need financial support.
With a sound grant template we will be able to ensure the sustainability of our projects with increased donors.

Our mission
To perpetuate the cultural and natural resources of Hualalai mountain for generations to come. Engage Kona`s community and `ohana (families) in the education and reforestation of Hualalai`s native forest.
What we do
Provide Cultural Education related to the forest including protocol, Native Plant Identification & uses, Native Bird Identification, mo`olelo (history & stories), dye making, lei, science, history, geography & geology curriculum.
Engage in Stewardship: invasive species removal, native seed propagation, planting, reforestation.
