Project details
What we need
- An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
- A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
What we have in place
- We already have a brochure and an informative 8.5x11 flyer, so it will be easy for you to get started. Your contribution is to better organize and visually present this educational content by including infographics and other design elements. We are looking for a volunteer who has experience in illustration and can take our existing material to a higher level. Often our clients need easy to understand imagery that simplifies reading & understanding.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to make a bigger outreach impact with socially and economically disadvantaged seniors and their caregivers throughout northern New Jersey.
Communicating the facts of Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia is essential to our outreach mission. Our educational materials serve as the perfect complement to our hands-on seminars, memory screenings and outreach events. Easy-to-read, appealing infographics will attract more readers and facilitate better information retention. Currently, some of our materials are too text-heavy which reduces their usability.
Project plan
Our mission
Act Now Foundation (ANF) is dedicated to raising awareness and educating urban communities about Alzheimer's disease, prevention, and early detection in order to improve the quality of life for Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers.
What we do
In November of 2015, ANF opened the first Alzheimer's Resource Center in Northern New Jersey that offers a less formal and more supportive environment for families living with AD. With a stronghold in the Hispanic and urban communities all programs are offered in English and Spanish.
The core programs that ANF offers free of charge include:
• Memory Screening
• Support & Memory Clubs
• Education
• Long Term Care Planning
