Project details

What we need
  • A photographer who will attend the Organization's event to take photos
  • A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in a digital format suitable for web or print use
  • Note: The photographer needs to be available in the same geographical location as the Organization or be willing to travel at own expense
What we have in place
  • We have the place, time and a good estimate of the number of guests that will attend our event. Our facebook page has over 800 followers and so we would love to have some great photos of the event to share with them.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,998 , allowing us to tutor more children in need of educational assistance in our community.

This is the first year that we are having a gala to help with fundraising for our organization. We hope that it will be a great success, and that we can use the pictures from the night to:
1. Send to attendees, to provide them with photos of the night that they will enjoy
2. Post on social media to be able to thank the attendees for coming and update them on how much money was raised
3. Use them to promote this event again in the future.

Prep: Initial Meeting and Goal Setting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the photography requirements, which should include the approximate number and types of photographs required (e.g., specific people, moments, or things), the desired style of photography, and the intended use for the photos or required digital format
  • Volunteer Manager provides the event schedule / run-of-show, which should highlight any key moments that need to be photographed (e.g., a planned speech or awards ceremony)
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree upon a work plan that includes the time and location of the event, any budget for travel, film, or other materials, and timing for receiving the edited photos

Milestone 1: Event Photography
  • Professional attends the event and takes photos according to the agreed-upon photography requirements

Milestone 2: Editing
  • Professional edits and color corrects a subset of the photographs taken, according to the agreed-upon number of photographs required
3
Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers the edited set of photographs to the Organization in the agreed-upon format, as well as the complete set of photographs (raw files)
  • Organization credits the photos appropriately

STUDENTS
Corners Academy is an intentional space where staff & volunteers connect with students to influence them to learn, grow & reach their potential in life. In addition, Corners Summer Camp is a 9-week program where weekly volunteer groups can engage with children through education, games, crafts and free lunch.

PARENTS
Corners Industries is a jobs program that will help break cycles of poverty. We strive for our parents to have opportunities to be educated, financially independent, and to know that there will always be someone in their corner, fighting for the success of their children and an improved standard of living.


COMMUNITY
Community involvement is a quintessential part of who we are. By partnering with local schools and teachers, we better serve our students by building an individualized plan of action. By partnering with churches, organizations, and individuals, volunteers can provide a personalized experience for each child while at Corners Academy.
