Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
What we have in place
- We currently have a branding and marketing guide from 2014, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a working list of "wants" for the new website, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to reduce barrier to entry by subsidizing team registration and keeping vendor registration low to encourage local emerging artists.
The annual PFCU Kensington Derby & Arts Festival (kensingtonkineticarts.org) is part parade of human-powered sculptures, part arts festival. Over the last decade, the festival has become a beloved neighborhood tradition and a representation of the many talented, creative, and community-minded individuals in our corner of Philadelphia. This event has been a cornerstone of our revitalization efforts, and is now a major fundraiser for NKCDC and thelocal neighbors group. Our resources are limited when it comes to marketing. We need any help we can get building a mobile-friendly CMS-based website that is editable by staff and serves our needs.
Project plan
Our mission
NKCDC advances social equity & economic empowerment by nurturing and creating opportunities for residents to live and actively shape their neighborhoods of choice.
What we do
New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) provides free housing counseling to anyone in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and offers many additional resources to residents and businesses in the Kensington, Fishtown, and Port Richmond neighborhoods.
We use a strategic combination of real estate development, community engagement, and people-centered direct services to ensure all of our neighbors can remain--and thrive--where they choose to live.
