Individual Donor Letter
Individual Donor Letter
Project details
What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
What we have in place
- We currently have annual report, brochures (for branding), and a Facebook page, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a vision brochure, local press contacts, Youtube channel, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,090 , allowing us to generate a compelling donor letter and raise monies for a mandatory move into another building.
Our need to move (from a decommissioned building) is imperative. Since we do not have the funds to secure a year's lease, we are planning a very strong dramatic mailing to all donors from the past 5 years. We need to concisely get the message across that time and money is imperative and urgent, and that without HOPE Coalition, the additional costs to the government services would be prohibitive and many victims would not get services. Two essential services are a 24-hour domestic violence shelter, and 24-hour hot line for sexual assault support and advocacy.
Project plan
Our mission
No one thinks straight in a crisis. We all need help to navigate the multiple systems involved with trauma, violence and poverty. HOPE's mission is to empower lives through hope, offering support, education and advocacy to anyone affected by child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence or homelessness.
What we do
We serve about 1700+ people a year in 2.5 rural counties in SE Minnesota. We have a domestic violence shelter, and offer advocacy and support to those who have experienced child abuse, sexual assault and homelessness. We are the only organization proving these services in our rural area.
Testimonials
Jon was wonderful! He was prompt, had very good communication and was a whiz at writing, being able to put our work and needs in a clear, concise format. It did help considerable that he had a very strong interest in our area of work, this allowed him to pick up the nuances that others might leave out. We were very happy with his abilities and very grateful for this opportunity.
HOPE Coalition was prompt, positive, grateful, and gave me every bit of background information I asked for.
