Remote or Hybrid Work Team Strategy
Project details
What we need
- A 1-2 page written document that summarizes the Organization’s needs and goals for effective remote/hybrid work
- Best practices and tips for the Organization’s remote staff members, including recommendations on the best virtual collaboration tools, such as Slack, Google apps, Zoom, etc.
- Recommendations for managing projects with remote/hybrid staff, including how to set up a digital workspace for easy collaboration, and how to establish communication styles and structures that support effective teamwork
Additional details
The group that this project is aimed at is comprised of about 40 college student volunteers and 40 staff members and represents 40 of our Top Performing College Fundraising Events across the country. A plan/strategy that addresses our needs in working with both staff and volunteers and is a good fit for the demographic of our group would take this project to the highest level of success!
What we have in place
- We already have an in-person meeting scheduled for this group in August with a tentative agenda as well as a donation of planners for the members of this group to be a consistent tool for the group to use and revisit throughout the year. I have access to all event metrics for this group on an ongoing basis to have a consistent pulse on how they are performing throughout the year. We have a specific fundraising target to meet by the end of the 2018 calendar year.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,776 , allowing us to Elevate the engagement with this important group of staff and volunteers to provide them with a best-in-class experience with fundraising results to back it up!
Engaging this group effectively will enable me to provide the best support, coaching, and guidance possible to see the events associated with this group meet their financial goals and also provide the group members with an excellent experience. Highly engaged members will be compelled to provide outstanding support and leadership to their individual events, increasing their likelihood of financial success. This project will invigorate group members and set them up for long term achievement.

Our mission
The American Cancer Society's mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
What we do
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Our Global Headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and we have regional and local offices throughout the country to ensure we have a presence in every community.
While most people know us for our research, we do so much more. We attack cancer from every angle. We promote healthy lifestyles to help you prevent cancer. We research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. We fight for lifesaving policy changes. We provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. And we do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
