Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Help El Pueblo, Inc. communicate their work with a content management system (CMS)-based website, so that they can easily manage and update site content on a regular basis.
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
What we have in place
- We already have a website that is frequently updated with content on a near daily basis, as well as a strong presence on Facebook and Twitter (3,566 and 1,847 followers, respectively). We are also updating our mission, vision and values, hopefully being finished by no later than May. We do frequent media stories in both english and spanish, with an emphasize on community leaders sharing their own stories, as opposed to the organization being a "voice" for the Latinx community.
How this will help
This project will save us $55,012 , allowing us to send our youth to Washington DC for nationwide conferences where they can speak with activists working in similar fields, as well as meet their congressional representatives.
Our website, while serving the basic needs of sharing information about our various programs, news and events, has one glaring problem: it looks visually dated, big time. We are hoping to freshen up our website with a modern look that will allow for greater ease of acquiring information, with the end goal of increasing membership in our programs, increased donations to the organization, and greater turnout for our public events, whether it be our annual Fiesta del Pueblo or the many actions and protests that we take part in throughout the year.

Testimonials
Jacovia was dedicated and highly responsive to any issue that we had while we worked together to build our new website. We have gotten lots of positive feedback about our site and could not be more grateful to his donation of time and effort into this project.
The most important aspect of working on different projects who you're working with. I have to say that William, Michelle and the El Pueblo team have been a breeze to work with. They're the ideal client and not only that, their cause is a very important one. If they need assistance with a project, I highly recommend working with them. I have zero complaints.
