Project details

What we need
  • Thorough review of the existing communication and marketing materials to ensure writing is understandable, engaging and consistent
  • Edits conducted with respect to writing style, voice, length, and proper spelling and grammar
  • Revised materials should adhere to branding, communications and marketing goals
What we have in place
  • We currently have a website, social media, email marketing and print materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have historical data from our programs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to support our state-wide networks and partners in deeper ways.

Increasing our ability to effectively share our stories is vital to expanding our work and increasing our donor outreach success.

The scope of our work can be complex in nature and requires a discerning eye to help us simplify, coalesce and hone our messaging.

This project will help us reach more people and inspire them to support our work and get involved.

Our mission

The Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) is building a movement for Community Rights and the Rights of Nature to advance democratic, economic, social, and environmental rights - building upward from the grassroots to the state, federal, and international level.

Our mission is to build sustainable communities by assisting people to assert their right to local self-government and the rights of nature.

What we do

Through grassroots organizing, public education and outreach, and legal assistance, CELDF brings communities and groups together to form statewide Community Rights Networks to drive change from the grassroots upward to the state and federal level. Nearly 200 municipalities across the U.S. have enacted CELDF-drafted Community Rights laws which ban practices that violate the rights of people, communities and nature - including fracking, aerial pesticide spraying, factory farming, sewage sludging of farmland, and water privatization.

Testimonials

Working with Michael was wonderful! His attentiveness, flexibility and attention to detail made working together on this project very enjoyable and productive. Michael is also very diplomatic and organized, especially when sharing feedback and ideas. He asks great questions too! This inspired conversations and strategic planning sessions that really gave us the ability to reflect on our work and see those areas where we are strong and where we can make refinements. His contribution to our organization through this project is HUGE! And it was also a pleasant experience. We couldn't be happier.

Communication Materials Audit Project

Working with the team at CELDF was such an incredible experience! Their work is positively impacting thousands of people and paving the way for communities to educate and protect themselves from those who would seek to take advantage of their natural resources. The CELDF team was easy to contact, amazing to work with, and they are all so passionate about what they do! It was great to be able to contribute to their cause. They are bringing about real change and being a part of such a professional and motivated organization was a truly rewarding experience!
