What we have in place
- We currently have data and our analysis on Trump's budget and its impact on NY, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have last year' s budget advocacy materials and other infographics to give you an idea of style, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to direct more resources to our advocacy efforts to protect housing program funding at the federal, state and local levels.
President Trump just released his annual budget request for Fiscal Year 2019. It proposes dire cuts ($8.8 billion or 18.3%) to federal housing programs' funding-eliminating or drastically cutting many critical programs on which low-income elderly and disabled families depend. Furthermore, it proposes eliminating public housing infrastructure funding and increasing tenants' rents which would result in a dramatic rise in homelessness. In NY alone, $1 billion+ for critical housing programs would be cut.
We need your help to create graphics to help communicate our analysis in a simplified and empathetic manner for our advocacy efforts against this harmful budget!
