Project details

What we need
  • 1-2 page summary of takeaways and trends from interviewing key individuals (no more than 8 interviews total)
  • Identification of the board’s strengths and recommendations for areas of improvement for board members collectively and individually
What we have in place
  • We currently have an established board, record of minutes, and agendas, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have our bylaws and articles of incorporation, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,773 , allowing us to spend our limited resources better supporting beginning family farmers with access to land, equipment, infrastructure, capital, and markets (The Essentials).

As a nonprofit we rely on our board of directors for guidance and to act in a way that reinforces our vision. We hope to have our bylaws and articles of incorporation reviewed and updated. This will allow us to implement best practices with our board members in hopes to have a highly functioning board adhering solely to their fiduciary duty. With a knowledgeable board that is able to support and engage with Viva Farms in an impactful way, we expect to be able to better serve our beginning family farmers.
