Our mission

Through the power of the arts the Educational Arts Team provides young people with experiences that transform hearts and minds. We believe that the arts are an essential way to help young people realize academic success, increase self-worth, and create a vision of a positive future.

What we do

Dramatic Impact helps educators improve student performance by bringing into schools our unique program of experiential learning strategies composed of hands-on professional training for teachers and in-class workshops for students.

The elementary and middle schools we have worked with have reported increased student engagement, cognitive development, and social skills. As a result, they have witnessed statistically significant gains in the standardized test scores of participating students, both in language arts and mathematics.

Dramatic Impact is an innovative non-profit initiative that grew out of our work as the Educational Arts Team, a leader in the field of arts education since 1974. After more than 30 years of dedication and a proven track record, we are excited to share our work with school districts nationwide.

Testimonials

Because of Robert’s past experience guiding nonprofits and their boards to improve their performance, he was able to set up a process through which our current board could assess itself and reflect on its current composition. He presented a very organized board profiling system and kept in regular touch to guide the project. The questions he asked stirred very important discussions between our staff and our board. This project is helping our board members refine their search for new members with renewed energy and better understanding of the process.

Board Recruitment Strategy Project

Educational Arts Team was a pleasure to work with. Carmine and Teresa whom I worked with directly were helpful at every step. Equally important - as this was a board development approach - their board members were responsive and helpful about sharing their skills, experience and areas where the board needed additional talent. They were terrific to work with and I hope I was able to provide clarity and direction that will help them build upon what is already a strong leadership team.
