Additional details

Experience either forming a non-profit board or serving on a non-profit board, and an interest in fundraising and non-profits.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a full time fundraiser with prior experience, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have major research initiatives that would be focus of Board, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,395 , allowing us to use the funds instead to provide support to the melanoma community.

AIM long ago formed a Board of Directors of medical professionals whose expertise is melanoma research. We are seeking a second Board—an Advisory Board—that would focus on fundraising and serve as the voice of the melanoma community for our Board of Directors. In creating this Advisory Board, AIM seeks expertise to help answer critical questions such as: What types of people are the best fit for such a role? How do we best describe our need and our expectations? How long should Advisory Board members serve? How often should we communicate with the Board?
