Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details
We are looking to develop one page on our existing website, not an entire website. The webpage will give people information about how to advocate for change in NYC's foster care system. This is our current website: http://www.graham-windham.org/
What we have in place
- We currently have all of the content necessary for this project, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have two dedicated staff members ready to assist you or provide troubleshooting, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to provide more resources to our kids and families. These resources include mental health services, healthcare, youth development programs and afterschool services.
This project will build a page on our website that will let people know how to advocate for change in the foster care system.
Each year 4,000 youth enter foster care in NYC. The foster care system has many problems, but the public has little knowledge about these challenges or how to fix them.
This webpage will help to change that. We will be sharing it widely so more people can start advocating to improve children's lives.
Here is a video we recently created to discuss some of the challenges that foster kids face: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJf6MDIApUg
Project plan
Our mission
In full partnership with families and communities, Graham Windham strives to make a life-altering difference with children, youth and families who are overcoming some of life's most difficult challenges and obstacles, by helping to build a strong foundation for life: a safe, loving, permanent family and the opportunity and preparation to thrive in school and in the world.
What we do
Eliza Hamilton established Graham Windham as the first private orphanage in New York City in honor of her husband, Alexander Hamilton. Over 200 years later, Graham Windham's mission to support kids and families lives on. Today, Graham serves thousands of kids and their families. Most of these kids have had a tough start in life. But through their own strength and Graham's support -- whether through family counseling and treatment, or after school academic help, these kids can thrive into adulthood. Eliza's dream was to give every kid to get their shot -- that mission lives on today. #ElizasStory
